A Good Routine is A Healthy Routine — 6 steps to a healthy routine.
A good routine is a healthy routine! Routine is a name for a set of habits or actions that we form for one reason or another and to obtain a goal. Here are 6 steps to follow to help you create that healthy routine that will make your routine achievable, attainable, and healthy for you.
For a routine to become a healthy routine you need to keep consistent and maintain the chosen actions that you have set out to achieve. Without an action plan, a routine is just random actions that won’t achieve a specific long-term goal.
Now a healthy routine does not cause stress on the body or your mental health. For example, staying up late until you are exhausted just to catch the late-night news, for your job that starts at 4 am. This routine will keep you fatigued and chasing your goal which is to be updated with news by 4 am. This type of routine doesn’t help you stay healthy either.
A good healthy routine should allow you peace of mind, and contribute to your success. A healthy routine can be a weekly plan, daily plan, or long-term plan. One big and common mistake is people make the routine and don’t trust the process or ensure that the actions are taken daily.
Successful routines are made up of these key factors. You can follow these easy simple steps to help you create a back-to-school routine, work routine, learning routine, or a personal routine.
- Make it personal, It is about you and for you so make it about you.
- Do something every day for it; morning routine, nightly routine, daily activity.
- Your routine needs to serve you, whether it is practicing, taking vitamins, working out, or learning, ensure its purpose serves you a result.
- Create a list of To-do’s if you need it, our brains aren’t perfect at remembering everything that is involved or needed in every moment.
- Don’t beat yourself up if your goal is to read at 5 pm, and you read at 530 pm. You can still do and achieve the same result which is reading. Just ensure you can keep taking the action set up. If you do miss a day, just pick up and keep going, your progress doesn’t disappear when you miss a day.
- Allow for change. When you make a routine and implement it, it may need to be adjusted, for a better time or schedule, allow that change openly. embrace change as you learn, grow, and achieve your routine.
Know what you want and stick to a good healthy routine for the best results, no one became a professional overnight, it was a good healthy productive routine that got them there over time and actionable practice. A key to staying motivated through a new routine is that results will only ever come from actions and a goal will only be achieved if it was planned out.
